§1Where appointments are booked
Police immigration appointments are booked on the administration’s own platform, the ICP pages hosted on sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es. Pick Barcelona as the province, then the procedure, then one of the offices that offer it, and finish with your identity and contact details.
The procedure matters as much as the date. A NIE assignment, the EU registration certificate, the fingerprints for a TIE and the return authorisation are separate entries, and each one leads to the offices that handle it; in the city, the two NIE offices split the work by passport.

§2Have this ready before you start
- Your passport or ID number, exactly as printed
- Your full name and nationality
- A mobile number and an email address you actually read
- For a TIE, the NIE you already have
- Some flexibility on the office, where the system offers several
§3Why free slots disappear
The province of Barcelona is large, its foreign population is too, and appointments appear as offices open their diaries rather than on a published timetable. Free slots go quickly, and on many days the system simply answers that there are none.
Refreshing all day is not a method. Being ready is: details at hand, the right procedure, openness to a comisaría outside the city, and someone checking at different hours. That checking is part of what we do for our clients, though no one can promise a date.
§4The confirmation
Once you book, the system gives you a confirmation with a reference number. Keep it. It names the office, the day and the hour, and it is the document that counts if the office on it is not the one you expected.
