What we do with your data
This notice explains what NIE Barcelona does with the personal data you send through nie-barcelona.com, under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation and the Spanish rules that complete it.
The data a form sends us
- What you type into a form: your name and email address and, if you give them, your phone number, nationality, the procedure you are interested in and your message.
- Technical data your browser sends with each request, such as the IP address, the date and the page, kept in server logs for security.
The forms do not ask for passport copies or other documents. Please do not send them through the site.
What it is used for, and on what basis
To answer your request and, if you choose our assistance, to prepare your procedure with you. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before a contract and then the contract itself; the technical logs rest on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who handles it
The people who handle requests, and the providers who host the site, process the forms and send our emails, all bound by confidentiality. Your data goes to a public office only when you ask us to act for you in a procedure. We never sell personal data.
How long the data stays with us
A request that does not lead to assistance is deleted once it no longer serves to answer you. A client file is kept while the assistance lasts, then for the period the law requires, and then deleted.
Your rights over it
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format, by writing to info@nie-barcelona.com. You can also complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos.
